Missiles and windows

Literally. While grappling charged concepts for this project, I decided to use a metaphorical analysis to a missile.  In war, missiles take 3 forms. 1) Rest 2) Action 3) Impact.  Since circulation is critical, the circulatory journey is going to be the missile at the start and end point. The points selected for the lines are a result of a superimposed map where missiles fell in Baghdad and killed people. The light play in the circulation play a critical role in the building as narrative.

Space plan further developed

Pink is curatorial space/office and admin space/lecture space
Gray is circulation
Blank is courtyard space that will incorporate an ampitheater

Space organization

Lines of the building were derived from annual death counts in Iraq. For space organization, with a defined point of beginning and end, the journey throughout the archive is a journey of circulation.  Halls adjacent to  the continuous circulatory ramp from the start point to the end point serve as more curatorially appropriate spaces.

Interior studies

So, if the concept is loss and the people are the subject's., does the archive exhibit real time life as a main architectural concept? Is transparency throughout the circulation of the building an interior design concept?

Only cause I saw people as blemishes on architecture for so long (kidding, Axel)

Muscle concepts--biomimicry to generative modeling

Biomimicry

Where do I begin?

Generative modeling

So I started toying with Grasshopper for Rhino to write design algorithms, as I am in the conceptual stage of design.

Top floor: anecdotal, bottom floor: functional.
Methodology: anecdotal circulatory patterns
